The wish paintings, which were created for viewers around the United States, Canada, and Australia, were given away and never sold, although donations were appreciatively accepted--and truly helped the Project to survive. Although nearly all of the wishes reside with the person who made the wish, a scant few remained. In March of 2006, I held an online auction in conjunction with the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, a well-respected foundation that has helped women in the arts (including myself) for well over thirty years. The remaining nine wishes (isn't that a coincidence?) of the 37 were auctioned, earning pledges totaling $285, which will be split half and half between the Fund and myself.
